SUMMARY:Summer Youth Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Our annual Summer Youth Retreat will be Sunday August 5th through Friday\, August 10th\, 2018 in Ocean City\, New Jersey. Students entering 7th through 12th grade are welcome! Friends are welcome too! \nThe retreat is designed to be a well-chaperoned time of friendship\, fun and learning. This year’s summer youth retreat will be at Kull Youth Center in Ocean City\, New Jersey. There will be daily small group bible studies (no prior knowledge needed)\, nightly programs\, and lots of time at the beach and boardwalk. \nRetreat Theme: The Power of Freedom\nAs inhabitants of “the land of the free” we enjoy a great amount of freedoms. We’re free from the tyranny of dictators within and foreign oppression from abroad. Yet the heart of freedom is freedom in our hearts. As modern day thinkers\, the word freedom is usually associated with casting off external constraints\, but sometimes our biggest constraints are from within. Does the Bible have anything to say about freedom? Can a message about an event that happened more than 2\,000 years ago speak to the issues of today?
