Finding Strength & Purpose in the Seasons of Life
with speaker David Pinckney
Sociologists often talk about different stages of manhood. One framework identifies four stages: cowboy, soldier, king, and sage. From the Apostle Paul’s letter, 2 Timothy 2, we will look at how grace, the Word, and community can shape each of our lives depending on which stage we are in, and how he invites Timothy to share in suffering —a wild idea! He uses three images: a soldier, an athlete, and a farmer, to draw out the biblical truth that a sacrificial life precedes a greater glory to come. Join us as we gather to grow in our knowledge and love of our Savior and King, Jesus Christ!
Join us for our Men’s Conference at Singing Hills in Plainfield on from 6:30 pm on Friday, February 28th and 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 1st as we gather and investigate this topic together.
