Christ Restoration Church got its start back in July of 2014 as a church plant of Christ Redeemer Church in Hanover, NH. We began worship in Sunapee and were previously known as Christ Redeemer Church at Sunapee. Since that time, we’ve thrived as a congregation, but have struggled to find a sustaining facility to meet and worship in. Recently, we’ve begun worshiping at Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH. This has been a truly encouraging development for us and holds the promise of being a lasting opportunity that provides needed room for growth and development as a church! Though we’ve chosen to change our name, we’re still a shared community and partnership with Christ Redeemer Church of Hanover. Our hope is that Christ Restoration Church would develop to an independent and self-sustaining congregation.
Christ Restoration Church believes that the main subject of the Bible, the Gospel of Christ, is God’s message for all people. The Gospel teaches that though God made us in His image, all people have rebelled against Him and are therefore under His just judgment. Sadly, no one is able to rescue himself from this helpless and dangerous state. However, the good news is that through the mercy of God, Jesus took upon Himself our punishment as rebels. Therefore He is able, justly, to restore to God all those who entrust their lives to Him. The Church is the community of people whom God is restoring to Himself, and so ought to be marked by truth, love and good deeds.
